like to change my pc back to windows xp is it easy to do,as am geting a new 4 Camera CCTV System With USB Output

for my pc,but will not work on vista

I could be wrong....but dont think you can install previous OS without wiping the hard drive completely.....unless it was an upgrade. if so...you could use the factory restore discs you hopfully have with your computer to restore it to the way you got it. me thinks if your pc was bought with Vista pre installed...it could be more hassle that its worth

Why not go to Windows 7 ? If the "new" CCTV system is truly new, it will surely have support for the most recent OS if not the one or two prior to that.

Failing that, perhaps you might consider a dual-boot system with XP /Vista or XP / W7 (assuming you have the licenses for both systems of course)

Just got my PC back after a new install of Windows 7.. looks pretty good so far, an extra 2gig ram makes it very very quick.

All the media stuff it comes with is impressive.

Firstly, have you tried XP SP3 Compatibility Mode on Vista?

Secondly, why go back to XP when you go forward to Windows 7 which has an XP Mode (Not the same as XP SP3 Compatibility Mode)?
