A quick search confirms that he is the SFA's "Head of Coach Education" which suggests that he coaches coaches rather than the players.

I read in one of last weeks papers that todays management team was going to be Craig Levein as manager as you all know and Peter Houston as assistant with Don Park as the 2nd coach because that is the only person Craig could get at short notice as he is still looking out for a 2nd coach to help out him and Peter so to answer the topic starter, yes you did see Park tonight ok.

Hopefully you understand what i am saying :D :D

Donald is Head of Coach Education at the SFA. My understanding is that its his job to educate coaches on things like the laws of the game, rules on working with children and many other aspects outwith the actual core role of a coach. He was in the dugout at Hampden but what his role was I dont know. Perhaps he was asked to step in to assist. Perhaps he was observing the coaches.
