Tyrone Smith from STV reporting that he's stood down as vice chairman and director. Sad if true. Anybody know if he'll still have any sort of role in the club?

Does the timing suggest that this has been triggered by something to do with choosing new manager?

You'd better believe it.........Johndo's running out of muppets to slag

Been out of his depth for too long. Glad he is gone. Regardless of why.

I've only met Grassa once and he came across as articulate and was very friendly. As CaleyD has pointed out it's probably happened at the AGM and nothing to do with the managerial shortlist.

Or maybe the timing has to do with the fact it was the club AGM last night?

Is it the case that he was happy to be put forward for re-election at the time when the AGM resolutions would have been issued earlier this month, but when the AGM took place he wanted that resolution withdrawn?

Could this now lead to the engaging of a 'big-name' candidate to become director of football and an up and coming managerial applicant becoming Head Coach ?

I hadn't taken much interest in the AGM this year but that doesn't sound like normal procedure as the board are self-electing and not normally appointed by the AGM.

It was on the BBC Highland news this morning. He asked for the resalution for him to go back on the board to be withdrawn at the AGM last night. So he must have decided to quit in between the agenda being made up and the meeting its self.

If memory serves there was a couple of names being voted onto the board. I find it a bit worrying that there could be unrest at board level while we are sitting high in the league and reporting profit. Graeme has never struck me as being someone who'd walk away. He loves the club. He put his own finances at risk to keep the club out of debt by borrowing against his pension fund. There has to be something not right in the boardroom and to me that's a worry.

I would imagine it is more a case of Grassa resigning as his nose is out of joint due to his power being diluted as the boardroom is a much more professional place these days.
