News today that Ian Fraser of John Fraser & Sons, Funeral Directors and former Provost of Inverness has died.

Ian was a huge supporter of our club financially in the early days and at one point was the major shareholder.  I'm convinced that it was his backing, and that of one or 2 others, that helped set ICT on the path we are now taking.  He certainly has a place in the history of our club.

Thinking of his family at this sad time.

RIP Ian.

I was very sad to hear of Ian's passing. Maimie was so right in what she says and without his substantial investment in the early life of this club it just would not be here today. The internal politics during the "takeover" really upset Ian and he eventually withdrew his support of the club. Ian loved the idea of a unified football club in Inverness and he put his money where his mouth was. He was a solid supporter in the early years but latterly favoured Ross County, where, in his own words, "he felt wanted". A good man. Thanks for everything you did for us Ian.

Ian was indeed a good man and a large backer of the club. On a more personal note both Ian and his family have been very professional and supportive during difficult family circumstances. A gent.
