There are only 4 days left until the transfer window closes so Brewster has little time to assess his squad and bring in new players so here are some suggestions for him:

Paul Dixon at Dundee, Stewart Greacen at Morton, Kevin Cuthbert at St. Johnstone, Kieran Westwood at Carlisle, Ben Williams at Crewe, Charlie Mulgrew at Wolves, Christian Roberts at Swindon, Grant Brebner at Melbourne Victory, Lee Baxter at Landskrona, Graeme Smith on loan from Rangers, Malky Mackay at Watford and Jamie McCunnie at Hartlepool.

Any other suggestions, send them in.

Brewster booted Grant Brebner out of Tannadice, I doubt he'd beat a path back from Convict Land to play for him.

Malky MacKay would be a good signing as would Charlie Mulgrew.

That's some agency you're running, Caleyboyz...

Seriously, Malky Mackay would be a tremendous signing as a replacement for Dods, but we could never afford him. Unless, of course, there was a coaching role going...

Paul ritchie perhaps. expierenced centre half (still cost us a european tie :008:) and is wanting to return to Scotland. Brew kicked him out at Utd but who knows, maybe somethings changed.

Even maybe the Boy Kelly and A N Other on loan from a decent level club. Falkirk dont have any trouble getting season long loans. Take the pressure off the purse strings till maybe next summer

I heard that Brew has contacted the agents of 4 central defenders currently clubless:

Brent Sancho - Former Dundee and Gillingham player- played in World cup vs. England for Trinidad & Tobago

Lorenzo Amoruso- Do I need to remind you? Former Rangers player released this summer by Blackburn.

Sebastian Schemmel- Former West Ham and Portsmouth defender released by Le Havre this summer.

Nathan Ashton- Promising youngster who was released by Charlton this summer after spending season on loan at Millwall

Amoruso? Good Lord. Lock up your Bailey's...

If TomCaleyJag's information is true, though, it's interesting. We're pretty well off for young players at the moment (although admittedly not in defence) and since Dods went we're in need of a bit of experience. Sancho and Schemmel would both be worth a look - and presumably Sancho wouldn't be too far out of our price range having played at Dundee, unless he was one of the players the Marrs had on ludicrous wages. Maybe Heilandee has an insight?

Approx. 39 hours and the clock is ticking.  :crazy07:

But fer once our SPL Survival could be dependent on the tradings during this time frame.

I sugest that Brew logs on to www.tescomanager.com/footballers as there are some surprising last minute offers and 2 fer 1 bargains.

Amorouso is on the out of date shelf beside the 2005 bag of feckin pasta.
