reminds me of my emigration dilemma in 2003 !!!!

I hadn't considered the cup final when choosing dates for my departure so I had it planned for the week after the last league game ..... Of course we reached the semi-final of the cup and I was quite adamant with the missus that if we reached the cup final, I would be at Hampden ..... as luck would have it we went out in the replay so my plans remained unaltered but I would have had quite a lot of explaining to do otherwise ..... I did however book the wedding for September so no football woes then.

Ridiculous

These should be once in a lifetime occurances and they are making a mockery of the situation. Someting unlikely to be repeated in their lifetime and he should cancel the wedding and head to the cup final without hesitation.
