Is it true....that, on the PS3 you can download any previous game from any previous version of the Playstation? if so...is it free to do so?

You can download playstation classics, you can't download any previous game (they have set games). This will cost, depends on the game.

p.s. you can download demos for free.

I did used to play command and conquer red alert on the PS1. used to keep me amused for hours on end. must go and check it out on youtuube for old times sake

Do u mean like "Playstation Store" i think it is on your main menu?

Well...the PS3 is still in its box....as i bought it for my kids xmas (and of course, al be having a shot too)

Nah...i dont enjoy footie games that much. They are ok if you got someone to play. I like games like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Splinter Cell....them types of games.

Check out the website, surely they'll have a list of downloadable titles on there.

What website would that be? I had a wee try the other day but didnt unearth anything.
