According to ICTFC, there will be maximum one home game on 3rd August, due to pitch and drainage reconstruction works. Let's hope it goes as planned and we'll find good opposition for it.

What they are saying is that there might be 1 home game before the season starts. The season starts on 3rd August.

Thanks Yngwie, misunderstood that. But they want to let the pitch grow in peace, so I think it's likely the home match will be the last one of pre season.

The key word there is "XI".  It'll be a U19 kind of team they'll put out, similar to what Liverpool did in Barry Wilson's testimonial.

Indeed. In fact, I've just read that Man Utd are in the USA playing a glamour friendly that same night! The team they send north will be unrecognisable!.

They're charging £20 to get in that night as well!  What a cheek!

I also note that the game at Wick a few days earlier is marked as "Provisional." I wonder if we are trying to arrange another game darn sarf for then? London is a long way to go for just 1 friendly.

ICT updated the fixtures and we are away to Charlton Athletic on 27th of July.

What a great fixture! London beckons for ICT. Furthest South the club will have played I reckon?

Didn't we do Yeovil etc a couple of years ago?

You're right, Yngwie! I'd forgotten about that game! I must have drunk too much West Country cider - not that I'm stereotyping!

Charlton fixture is a real bonus for me.  It will be like a 'home' game for me.  And Charlton's ground is the only one in London I've not been to!  Hope we manage to get a few there to cheer the lads on.
