Harper on for Doran.

Need to keep it tight for the last few minutes.

We made life unnecessarily difficult for ourselves for the last quarter of an hour but, on the whole, that was a heartening and entertaining performance.

A vital three points stopping the rot of half a dozen league games without a win and putting a wee bit of pressure on our promotion rivals for tomorrow.

Can't decide between Billy, Dave or Roddy for my MOM so will give it to the small but highly vocal band who made the long journey to Dumfries on a dark late November evening and who won't be in their beds until the wee small hours.

If we continue to play like this and tighten up at the back we may not be far away come the business end of the season.

I enjoyed that. First half we played some great stuff. Second half tighter. I went with Mckay for MOM, closely followed by Allardice and MacGregor, but Carson and Sutherland also had very good games.

That’s only our third away win, but we deserved it, but we need to be more clinical when ahead.

Much better than recent weeks though.

4 hours back up the road. Love the win, but this won't be fun 😭😭😭

It’s easier with a few beers!! Lol!!

Pleased with the performance as well as the result. Have we improved on recent weeks or were we just up against a pretty poor side who defended badly? Bit of both, I’d say.

A Friday night win always gets the weekend off to a great start. Cheers!

Well, we made it look hard work in the end, but I thought we played pretty well most of the time.  Could easily have been 4-0 up before Queens fight back.  But all in all a good night's work.  Lets hope for slip ups from Killie and Raith tomorrow.

Thought Allardice was very good tonight

He is a very good player in the midfield for us as always and tonight was no exception.  With a good team performance they managed to keep going after Queens scored which we haven't been doing in the last few weeks.  Well done to all tonight :clapping::clapping:

A very entertaining game and some great performances.  Having Carson and Sutherland back in the team makes a real difference.  Billy too is looking very sharp but MOTM for me was Allardice who won some balls he had no right to, moved the ball forward well and had 2 or 3 surging runs.  I thought he was immense today.  We should have won rather more comfortably, but if we continue to play with that intensity and quality we should be winning a lot more than we lose.

Doran been woeful as has McAlear. Put MacGregor into cm and put Mcdonald right....

But we got a deserved win. We all know Doran is not best suited to plastic pitches so he was only playing due to Gardyne and Walsh being missing.

Allardice rightly gets the plaudits for his performance in midfield but McAlear went about his business quietly and the whole team contributed to the win.

Good signs from the game that we had learned from perhaps getting a bit too confident being at the top early in the season.  Two cup games coming up where we will be playing different football so that going into December we may be re-energised. Optimistic that we may have re-discovered ourselves but mindful that QOS is a happy hunting ground and they now appear favourites for relegation.

Slightly dull start to the day here in Aberdeenshire but the morning always seems a little bit brighter the day after an ICT evening win.

A slip up by Killie or Raith, preferably both, and the weekend will be complete from a footballing point of view.

Big plaudits to the vocal band of supporters who made the long trek to Dumfries - you guys brought a big smile to my grumpy old face and did as much to brighten up a dull night shift as the lads on the pitch! 👍 :ictscarf:

Results today, especially Arbroath's win at Rugby Park, leaves the top of the table incredibly tight indeed with very little separating the top five.

Two distinct leagues now with the top five competing for the title and three play off spots and the bottom five battling relegation.

A break for the cup next weekend and then two absolutely huge home games within four days against Raith and Killie respectively.

Win both and we will be back on top of the league irrespective of any results elsewhere.

What better incentive to the team need and what better incentive for as many home fans as possible, including many who have been slow to return post lockdown, to pack the North and Main Stands and sing themselves hoarse, or at least in the latter case, rustle their sweetie papers more loudly and vigorously than ever before.

Perhaps the biggest few days since we were relegated. Get yourself along to the Longman and encourage as many others as possible to do so as well.

The Raith game is in the Challenge Cup so the next league games is Friday 3rd against Killie.

Incredible we are just one point off the lead after our poor run.

Think Doran days are coming to an end, giving ball away to opponents, and running into trouble on wing most of the time,

Of course it is. Yet another senior moment 😁

However, all the more reason to turn out in huge numbers against Killie, their fans will go a fair way to filling the South Stand, for our biggest game of the season so far.

A win against Killie and we may well be top of the league. We will certainly be well in the mix with a considerable psychological advantage over one of our main rivals.

You may be right although he is seldom at his best on artificial surfaces.

If is career is coming to an end we should not let any deterioration in form and fitness allow us to lose sight of what a wonderful servant and skillful player he has been for the club, including at the the highest level, for over a decade now despite much of that time being blighted by injury.

Yes the league table makes fascinating reading tonight - 2 points separate the top 5 and 1 point separates the bottom 5.

Huge gap between 5th and 6th though!
