Charlie Adam

Holloway thinks hes worth more than £10m and in this crazy transfer market who can blame him. But 18 months ago this guy got booted from Castle Greyskull for not being good enough for the SPL for essentially pennies - now touted for Liverpool or Villa amoung others. When did Charlie Adam morph into 'Super' Charlie Adam???

When he captained unfancied Blackpool to the premiership .

When he lost three stone and realised he had to work for a living. Charlie Adam is a small club player with a small club attitude. Blackpool are a small club in comparrison to the big boys of the EPL. He has done well by the sea but could he hack the big club with all its superstars. Would he even get a first team place?

Charlie Adam should be a lesson to regular visitors of the dump. He played in his shell in Scotland because of constant abuse from Rangers and St Midden fans, as well as opposition fans. He wasn't allowed the mental space on, or off the park to express himself properly. He always has had 100% technique, and just needed the belief/support of the supporters. He moved to Blackpool with no pressure, and now they have an outstanding play maker. I wouldn't say he's that much fitter, and he still moves at the same pace, he just believes in himself now. Maybe the next time Duff gets caught in possession, we could leave the huge collective sigh out, and just offer encouragement instead?

I belive Adam caused Man Utd alot of problems tonight, shows he can do it against the big teams

He was OK in the first half but a couple of cracking corners were pretty much his only contribution. Lots of ambitious passes, crosses and free kicks were attempted though.

What was more apparent was how bad Rooney was. Looks like a shadow of his former self. What annoys me the most is how the commentators and pundits refuse to criticise anything he does. It's always 'that's not like him' etc rather than stating how obviously out of form he is.

The wee mexican lad is a cracking player though

but blackpool shouldnt deprive him of a chance at going to a bigger club

Rubbish. He is under contract to them, they pay his wages, they paid the transfer fee for him. By your logic, we should let any of our players p1ss off to a bigger club as soon as any bigger club wants, without a thought for our own clubs fortunes and finances.

What a daft thing to say.

Your attitude is the problem. I'm always right.

Doh! Oops, sorry forgot!

I'd never heard of it before but it seems to be a relatively common practice.

Bit of a fuss over nothing as Holloway wants Adam to stay till the summer when they are likely to get less money for him with only a year of his contract left.
