England/Wales based Supporters

Recommended Posts

As most of you know having bounced around the globe for the past few years I'm now settled in England and look to be staying there for the foreseeable future (pending next round of MOD reshuffling).

To that end I'm looking to gauge interest in linking the fans based in England/Wales and hopefully make it a bit easier/more sociable for those of us down south to get to more games.

In touch with a few people via twitter and been positive feedback so far. Any interested parties feel free to contact me.

Phil.

Gringo in Coventry nil.

(... is a kant...)

The Paulibees (Birmingham), King beastie (Leicester) and the amigos Gringo (Coventry Nil) were a part of the E&WMBotICTFCSC (East and West Midland Branch of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club Supporters Club)

The PB's, Beastie and myself have all crossed the border to live in Glasgow and Inverness, whilst Mr and Mrs Gringo remain in Coventry Nil.

There are others we dont so much hear from these days, such as DaveICT (i think that was his name) who lived in Bristol.

We also cant forget IHE who lives where the feck he decides to drop his marbles.

This got me thinking ..... We get asked this every so often, and there are a couple of things we could do to facilitate this kind of thing

first - I have re-installed an old feature we used to have called 'member map' ..... you can find it in the features menu - add your location and maybe over time, other users in nearby locations will add theirs so you will know if someone lives nearby. It is a free add-on for the board so no big deal.

The second option is actually a paid option (costs about $50 to purchase) but allows for the creation of various groups .... be that supporter groups in different areas, or maybe other groups we have but dont really realise such as Highland Marchers, Exiles or Ex-
Pats, or even the younger lads in the North Stand ..... we are not going to purchase it if no-one would use it, but would give it consideration of there is a niche for it here ..... details of the app are here: http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4226-rsyvarth-social-groups/

Based in West London.

I'm a football slut. Following ICT / Chelski / Maidenhead Utd (original Magpies, wifes home town)

I daren't check how much it cost me to fly the 2 of us up to watch ICT games last season but totally worth every pound.

Us Engerland based ICT fans (there must be feckin loads) need to get together, massive banner etc etc and charter a jet back home for the C*unty game in October, I believe I can fly.... Got my licence this year....

As alluded to I usually stay in the neighbourhoods of the matches and can call all many neighbours or feckin hoods where I am able to socialise, relax, sleep and be delivered back to Chorley. However if we are talking about a minibus or a day return group on the train then there are occasions that I may be available. After all it feels like a long time since I have been barred from anything.

By the way Mods - why do I have a warning status showing when it is feckin Zero

everyone does ... you can see your own warning level, but not anyone else's .... if it says zero, then you are a good boy (for now)
