Gotcher  it is a long way from Sneck to get to F****r Kirk, I was there over 20 years ago and had my lunch down near the beach but it looks different from where you took the photo from.

Aye it’s Tresta Kirk taken from the road in. What you’re seeing is Papil Water which is a freshwater loch. It’s The beach is down to the left.

I thought it was called Fetlar Kirk but that is the island.  It took me a long time looking at the photo now and again thinking of all the places I had been over the years

It was always Tresta Kirk to me, I’m sure it still says that on the signpost where you turn off. But they seem to be calling it Fetlar Kirk on all the websites. I suppose it’s the only Kirk in Fetlar anyway. There might be one native left among all the incomers too, they can call him Fetlar Man
