Wallace Duffy might be back. Bit mixed about that as he's injury prone. With all the plastic pitches he might be on the sidelines injured more than on the park.

We badly need a striker but let’s get another defender in.

I wonder if we might see 1 or 2 more youngsters go out on loan to HL clubs (with recall clauses). They need experience and we need whatever revenue we can get.

P&J reporting that we are trying to get Alfie Bavidge on loan from Aberdeen. Striker, Martin’s son, was loaned to Kelty last season.

It actually says we're "closing in" on the loan signing 🤔.

I hope so because sometimes someone else steps in and gazumps us if our plans are posted in the P&J before the loose ends are tied up.

I was thinking back to our old days when we used the youth of Aberdeen and had some good success.

Anyone similar to Dennis Wyness, Stuart McCaffrey, or Russell Duncan would do nicely!

According to this, we have signed Paul Allan so I presume this will be officially announced tomorrow morning at some point like when Musa and Wallace signed 🤷.

This one seems to have gone unnoticed by many and probably an unexpected signing so I presume the next will be the Striker, most likely Alfie Bavidge. Maybe both will be announced in the morning 🤷.

It seems that Alan Savage and Charlie Christie are determined to get Duncan Ferguson to succeed otherwise they wouldn't be backing him with signings and helping him out with advice such as playing attacking football 🤷🤷🤷.  Let's see if he takes heed or will he be stubborn and stick to the tried and tested that failed last season and the start of this! Last week suggests that he is actually willing to change tactics etc in order to succeed so I suppose that is something positive 👍👍👍👍.

Central midfielder / defensive midfielder. Was playing regularly for Dunfermline last season including against us, but I can’t claim to remember him. Wasn’t offered a contract extension by them.

Paul Allen was not offered a contract at Dunfermline because the club had a fixed budget. 67 appearances for Dunfermline, 33 last year. Aged 24. Will be experienced and driven to be back in Full Time football. Sounds like a good signing.

We have signed on loan Connal Ewan, 18yo County defender. He was on loan at Elgin last season where he played regularly, and had a spell at Forres the previous season.

Here's hoping a proven goalscorer is soon to follow....

If Connal can match the 3 goals he scored last season, he’s likely to end up amongst our top scorers!

A mate of mine was a youth coach at Elgin and saw a fair bit of this lad last season. Says he's a cracking defender and a stand out in the Elgin team.  Sounds like a decent acquisition but for me it's almost pointless bringing players in while the current management team remain in situ.  That being said a striker has got to be a priority before the weekend.

Connal is a decent Inverness lad and was with Clach before heading over the bridge. He stood head and shoulders above his peers for most of this time

As Big Dunc said in an interview not so long ago, something like, "if you don't concede any goals, you only need one goal to win"

Wise words indeed!  🤣

Okay, so we've maybe got the first bit sorted . . . .

Sounds like Alfie Bavidge will come in tomorrow if the P and J article on the Connall signing is anything to go by so if that's the case then it's definitely been a successful window which then heaps the pressure on the gaffer to deliver results 🤷🤷.

I wonder where the extra money for one more signing than expected came from because at last week's press conference it sounded like DF was only able to sign 2 more which was Paul Allan now Allan yet we're still close to Alfie Bavidge 🤔

I prefer the Pele Patterson mantra of scoring more goals than the opposition than worrying about conceding. It made for far more entertaining viewing.

Couldn't agree more - it HAS to be entertaining.

Otherwise just get the result from the BBC at 5 o'clock

When my thoughts start turning to "I wonder what's for tea tonight" then I'm not being entertained.

Happened quite a lot last season!

Thems was the days! Absolute joy to watch Pele’s teams, go 3 down and still believe you could win…
