Obviously aberdeen didn't fall for Sir Alex's request for bavidge if he his heading to play championship footie.

man utd did.😃

Keep it quiet till he signs.

Manchester United youngster James Nolan is set to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a season-long loan, subject to registration.

The promising Academy defender will play under manager Duncan Ferguson, the Everton legend who took charge at Caledonian Stadium in 2023.

Inverness are currently playing in the Scottish Championship and Nolan, born in Chorley, can look forward to enhancing his education in senior football.

Inverness are currently preparing for their next fixture, against Queen of the South on Friday night, although it remains to be seen whether Nolan will be available.

Everyone at United wishes James well for the season to come.

If only we could get a couple more defenders then we might, just might, be able to avoid relegation, like last year.

I'm so glad we're giving Dunc a second chance to prove negative football is the way forward for full-time teams in part-time leagues.

Dennis Wyness stepped in and argued he was toothless like his dad.  With regard to Nolan, he appears to play in various positions including right wing so not wholly a defender.

What do we need strikers for? We never put the ball in the box anyway!

Not getting any strikers in means Dunc can give his son more game time.

I’d like to see Brooks get a run in the team. He has pace and movement, and is not scared to have a shot.

Still have hope that now the windows are closed and seasons underway that some of the free agents out there who had higher expectations than Scottish League One will be re-evaluating options to get back in the game. Fingers crossed that we might get some quality out to prove themselves in even if its short term drawn by the profile of Dunc and The Caley (see Wortherspoon last season for example)

Memphis Depay springs to mind. Why not - Alan Savage seems able to perform miracles!

Well Stuart Armstrong just signed for Vancouver Whitecaps last night so not him 😞

This can’t be right surely ????? Spending money on loan signings we can’t afford is part of the reason we are in a mess !!!!

Unless AS is providing the funds for this one.

I don't know how these things work but maybe wanted to get him in before admin announced so if there is a ready made exit strategy that keeps squad intact then we might have a chance of clawing back the points deduction.

He is also paying the wages, so fair play if he is shelling out for players too. Wasn,t Dundee one of the Clubs we owed money for Cammy Kerr? That must have been paid to allow this deal I assume.

Welcome Charlie,

You’ll get the opportunity to test your abilities and mettle with immediate effect at Arbroath this Saturday. Great chance to make yourself a favourite with the fans if you can score a goal regularly. You might need to wait for the ball to get to you, so patience needed!
Best of luck!

Pretty sure it’s until January, same as Sam Nixon.

I don’t know if we can recall either early given we are short of defenders given the injuries we have.
