It is a fact that now having completed my 50th year of life I am suffering from some form of senility. I could have sworn that a short time ago I read, and responded to, a thread about a resignation.

IHE I desparately need your help and advice. I'm not ready to just give up and be nursed. We have cups to win, a league to win and a foray into europe to get through before my time ends.

If it's not a rumour why did you post it in the rumour section :029:

Yes you need help old git :sillywave:

Its all the admins fault, they have to power to delete/alter/modify your posts or even your clothes and hairstyle when you sleep...but only when you forget to log off..... creepy eh.

Take heart and dont take life so feckin seriously - how do you think I have feckin survived. And as my old friend Salvador Dali once said to me "The difference between a madman and myself is that I am not mad"  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :crazy07: :crazy07:

Admin very often remove threads for very good reasons but I have to say that I'm somewhat perplexed that the Christie has resigned rumour thread was removed.

I too saw the thread with a few replies, then it was gone.  I thought the whole idea of this section was to post rumours!!  Why then was it deleted?  Especially, as it would seem from this morning's news, there's more than a grain of truth in it.

I didn't deleted it, or even see it as I wasn't online at the time, but the posts were reported and asked by a few to be removed.  I believe that there was some personal content which was inappropriate.  As you say the news has now broken, so the thread on the ICT forum will remain open for discussion.

There was no inappropriate content when I last viewed the thread yesterday evening but I accept that that could well have changed before it was deleted.

I didn't see it at all Kingsmills so I'm not sure, just passing on what I heard and read afterwards.

Due to allegations of things disappearing in the past we do have a system in place that logs all moderator activity (editing, deleting of posts etc) and the post was not removed by us.

The only explanation that remains is that the original poster decided themselves to remove the topic having had second thoughts.

That's what I thought must have happened as it wasn't available in the moderator/Admin area. Thanks for clearing that up.

Hmmm.... That original poster must be, or must have been very close to CC..... :024:

You are not even close Johnboy - and that really is my final word on the matter  :rotflmao:

Ohhh.... Did I touch a sensitive nerve there, L_G    :023:

Can't comment as that was my final word on the matter.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

There was nothing contentious in it when I saw it, neither by the original poster (whom I remember, by the way), nor by any of the 4 or 5 replies I saw!  I didn't realise an original poster could delete a thread, especially with replies against it.

The point is I now know I haven't gone senile overnight. That must be something worth discussing,  :-*

Hmmm - Not too sure about that, Alex.....  :024:

Wondering too, if you should consider altering your signature thingy....  :029:
