There are few positives after today's match however at least every match next season will be winnable which I for one will be looking forward to. Don't get me wrong I would swop life in the SFL for the SPL anyday (no brainer) but it will make for some cracking matches. We have to use our recent SPL experience to our advantage and if we can maintain the nucleus of our current squad then we will have a good chance of going straight back up or at least be challenging for promotion.

It is time however to get rid of some of the dead wood and give one or two youngsters a chance to show what they have to offer.

Hope we bounce straight up!!!!

One thing i do fear is if we get off to a bad start with the league being so competitve where will that leave us?

Dundee are likely to start as favourites. They've recently had an ionjection of cash which means they are likely to be better funded than ourselves with the advantage of having several seasons experience of the division and a wiley and vastly experienced manager in Jocky Scott.

Dunfermline, Partck and Q.O.S are also likely to provide stiff opposition. It will not be easy !

i'm not sure about QOS with stephen Dobbie off he will be a big miss for them and if they can't replace him they will find themselves in serious trouble.

Dundee have to be our target without doubt.

Itll be good going to a game to cheer the team on sort of expecting to win, rather than expecting to lose all the time (please done shoot me down.)

We lost it during the split because we may be underestimated the opposition. Already I detect the belief that the First Division will be a walkover.

All these teams are to be RESPECTED from today:

2 Partick 3 Dunfermline 4 Dundee 5 Queen of South 6 Morton7 Livingston

8 Ross County 9 Airdrie Utd /2 Ayr 1 Raith

The 9 teams in the final table were very closely bunched at the end.

We have no chance if we re-enter the league as the big boys. Look at Dunfermline, Livingstone, Partick and Dundee as four recent SPL teams and ask why they did not bounce back?

Next season is definitely going to be 'interesting'. I'm afraid if anyone thinks we'll easily win the title and bounce straight back up they are going to be in for a nasty surprise. We are now in a much more competitive and cut throat league and it's going to be a battle from day 1
