HAIL CALEYAWAY

IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER

Recommended Posts

Yes - I am going to post this prior to the last away game of 2010:

I would wish to raise a glass to Terry Butcher, Maurice Malpas and the regular away supporters - Win, lose or draw tomorrow I will be on my feet at the end - having sang for another 90 minutes - standing proud - with hopefully the entire ICT squad at our end - and acclaiming a season that will surely NEVER be equalled. The performances - on the park and on the terraces - has just got better and better.

CaleyAwaywithTerryandMo - 2010 - Vintage feckin stuff - Never to be forgotten.

Terry and Mo we salute you :salute:

Glasses raised :drinking01: and applause all round :clapoverhead:

WELL DONE ICT CLASS OF 2010. Unbeaten on the road in a full calender year.

Personally I think I've outdone myself with the smileys.

Here's to our saviours, Doctor Terry and Mo,

Out of Tulloch's Stadium, and off we do go,

Along the goat track, or down long scenic A9,

Snatch some more points, opposition red wine,

Then real ale fish suppers Auchterarderheyho.

Has anyone noticed how Grant has started to score goals after the fans said they would create a song for him - but have not.

How about

His heart's in the Highlands, his heart is not there,

His heart's in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;

Chasing the wild-deer, Our Big Granty Monroe -

His heart's in the Highlands, wherever he goes!

The success seems to be bringing in folk who maybe haven't taken a great interest in in ICT up till now. Yesterday after a stirring 10 minute rendition of "Caleyaway with Terry and Mo" had ended, a young lad behind me asked his Dad who Terry and Mo were. Dad replied that "Terry" was Terry Butcher the manager and "Mo" was Mo Johnston, his assistant. A wee bit to learn, perhaps but fair play to him, he was there and joining in some of the singing too.

Continued success can only encourage more folk to come to matches and hopefully the enthusiasm and good humour of (most of) the fans will encourgage them to keep coming. I have to confess that it is a long time since I have been to an away league match (apart from County) and I thoroughly enjoyed the day out. I must do it more often!

I always knew we'd get a point at hearts. I fully enjoy the atmosphere at away games and brightens up any weekend. We've had some fantastic times on the road and probably couldn't say what my favorite one is as everyone of them has brought back good times and I hope these times keep going

WELL DONE TO TERRY, MO AND ALL THE BOYS FOR MAKING 2010 AN UNBELIVEABLE YEAR ON THE ROAD!
