I think I can trump that - disposable nappies!

Trump being the operative word? Disposable nappies may convenient but have a detrimental effect on the environment, both manufacture and disposal. Cotton reusable nappies need washing but can be re-used again and again. You get disposable membranes for them now which allow fluid to pass one way and protect babies' bits. The manufacture and disposal of membranes are a lot better for babies' long term futures.
