The Yeovil keeper is Bertrand Bossu, he was at Aberdeen for a while and pretty sure he was totally hopeless!

Against a promising League 1 team and given the amount of injuries we have i'am very impressed with this result.

That result has lifted my spirits a bit, even if it was against a side that seemed more experimental than ours.

We should sign Blizzard. I think we should sign all weather based players. If he scored we could play Hurricane by Bob Dylan over the tannoy.

I noticed Javan Vidal is on trial at Yeovil, i seem to recall him having a productive loan spell at Aberdeen a year or 2 ago. If things dont work out for him there i wouldnt mind him getting a chance up here - if Gilbert dosent come anyway.

was it andy shinie or graeme shinnie ?? i thought graeme was injured but ive heard it was him that scored but in the yeovil report it say andrew shinnie from a free kick which one was it anyone know???

Team was:

Inverness: Esson, Aldred, Tokely, Meekings, Gillet, Stevenson, Hayes, Tansey, Foran, A. Shinnie, Ross. Subs: Tuffey, Laing, Greig, Morrison, Polworth, Smith.

According to the Scotsman website anyway

Sounded like proctor came on for Meekings from the updates though, unlisted sub perhaps

No one else worried that Stevenson seems to be the only other Trialist we have? I thought we'd have a couple others for tonight. Heres hoping we see a couple new faces on Thursday.

Just out of interest, what kind of style of football did ICT play? We're hearing bits here and there about Butcher playing a different style next season, so was it more of an on-the-deck mentality, or the old hoofs up the park?

To answer the previous poster's question, it was definitely 'on the floor' football we played - quite impressive mainly. Yeovil gave us the runaround for first 15 minutes and but for Esson, would have been further ahead. We settled down after the equaliser, a reasonably well worked, but ultimately soft goal, and then controlled the rest of the first half. Meekings got a nasty injury, carried off, and replaced by Proctor, half way through the half.

2nd half Yeovil replaced all 10 outfield players. We had much the better of the 2nd half although Yeovil surprised us more than once with good efforts on goal. The penalty was a good call. We could have had an earlier one too when Foran was nudged, much to his disgust. Looks like we have found Rooney's replacement for penalties in Tansey who took it very confidently. Pick of the goals was Andrew Shinnie's free kick from about 25 yards - a peach. Good move for Foran's goal near the end.

Andrew Greig came on for Andrew Shinnie for last 10 minutes - no other changes.

Pick of the new boys for me was definitely Tansey - looks like a good find.

Overall I was reasonably encouraged by the performance, although we looked shaky at the back on many occasions and both Yeovil goals were down to poor marking. We could have had 6 or 7 quite easily. Their giant keeper did well.

Yeovil have a nice little ground, 2 stands along the sides and open standing terracing behind the goals. Friendly locals who seemed to think we were quite a good side.

Of the 700 odd spectators, I doubt we had more than 20. I suspect we'll have more for the next two.

It was a truly abyssmal performance - we could have been beaten 14-4 if it wasnt for 37 world class saves by Esson. The defence were appalling and all at sea, the midfield were lightweight and disjointed and we have no punch up front. Thankfully we scored from four of the four "chances" we had, three complete mishits and a very dodgy penalty. Yeovil even took their womens team on at half time.

TB needs to buck up his ideas and get a few new faces before the SPL kck off. What we need are 17-18 players with a wealth of SPL experience, crowd pleasers, ball players, fit for the start of the season, willing to take wage cuts and a move to the Highlands.

WFT is happening - get it sorted. :irritated:

I really am a misunderstood individual !! :nanananana:

Just off to Bristol in the morning and then on to Aldershot. Hopefully little chance of being ejected becos they wont be too strict on the booze and ya can simply stand throughout - and if I do encounter problems I will simply use by charming demeanour to allude captivity or premature ejection.
