Weak broadband large premises

Hi

 

Sorry to bother you , but I am somewhat of a novice. I would greatly appreciate some help on this aspect.

 

I have a fairly recent BT broadband modem' but for a large part of my house the signal is weak. ( former guest house which rambles a bit and has thick walls )

 

I sometimes lose connection or I get slow performance

 

I was wondering if I could buy a gadget I can plug into the mains which would bookst the signal.

 

I am not too  concerned about the cost as it will help my business

 

Can you help?

Which would you buy.? Should I get the dearest on the grounds you get what you pay for?

 

I am useless at setting complicated things up, so the simplest would be the answer?

Alternatively if you had an old router you could configure it to do exactly the same thing as those although they would possibly be easier to set up.
