No why is the church called Auldearn and Dalmore 🤣

Nothing to do with the Dalmore at Alness!  From the map, there seems to be an area just south of Auldearn called Dalmore.  There's a Dalmore Farmhouse, and also Auldearn Antiques in Dalmore Manse.

The parish of Auldearn and Dalmore joined up with St Ninians in Nairn a couple of years ago, and is now known as "Nairn: St Ninian's l/w Auldearn & Dalmore"  - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Church_of_Scotland_parishes#Presbytery_of_Inverness

When Dalmore church(just outside Auldearn, now the antique shop) was closed it became known as Auldearn and Dalmore Parish Church

I have found it on an old map.  Worked along the Lethen Road many times years ago and forgot about the old church but had no idea what it was called.  That was harder than finding my great great granny

If the Press and Journal  editing team had a look on here they would have got the right information on the Fain House that's is not a bothy.  I think they just pluck a picture from the internet without knowing anything about it.

The photo Mantis was much better!

Ah right, got it. I knew it was a sea loch and you were facing east. But only took seconds with your clue...

I had a mini-tour of Scotland last week - Falkirk (sister-in-law about to move home), Aberdeen (funeral), Inverness (see my Mum), Falkirk again, then home to Snorbens.

Souvenir of my trip?   A dose of good old Scottish covid.  Ah well, it seemed for the last while to be inevitable.

Of all the locations mentioned, the one below is closest to Sneck.  I don't think that there are any obvious clues...

Well done!  Despite it being so close to home, I don't think I had ever been there before last week.

I think I have posted one on here before of Beauly but maybe not 🤔
