Cracking shirt but wtf is going on with that badge? Where's the proper club badge?

As a one off design,  i think the badge is pretty good. Subtle inclusion of the two main icons.

I agree as a one off it works. Like the strip

Supporters - We want more fan & community involvement in whats happening - club needs to do more

Club - Lets get fans to design the commemorative 30 year badge, get some involvement

Supporters - New badge looks ****, who the **** decided on that

*sigh*

It has nothing to do with not liking the design of the badge (even though I don't). I find it a bit daft that the one constant we've been recognised for over the last 30 years is our badge and it's not on there.

I must have missed the news on the design for a new logo. Was this a competition where the best was chosen?

You’ll never please everyone even with this concept to be honest.

Personally I don’t like the badge but this isn’t me having a go at the club for trying new ideas. I’d probably prefer the usual logo in those colours with some sort of anniversary description on it.

It won’t stop me buying it though.

I like it and have no issues with doing a different badge for the away kit this year. I’m sure it will be a good seller and lets us put last year’s orange abomination behind us.

Well done to those involved and I’m just glad we still have a club, and that they’ve been able to sort out the Puma arrangement and finally get these on sale.

Personally I like it. The colour scheme works (not too far away from my son’s away kit for his team as posted earlier) and the badge is something different to mark the 30 years. Designed by a fan and looks good imho. Think I may be tempted to order this one.

Toronto FC did similar for their kit and badge in recent seasons. A new badge (simplified) but not the official one and they usually stick it on what they call a community kit (3rd kit). The first team strip is actually fan designed for the last couple of seasons although this year that one is bogging!

if this design was approved by our former CEO then I will say that’s one decision he may have got right, even if the strips weren’t ordered or perhaps paid for before the season started.

I am very underwhelmed by this dull outfit, but I accept that you can't please all of the people all of the time and I am quite taken with the home strip now that I've seen it on the pitch.

I've not bought a top for a long time as I prefer the leisure / training type stuff. I might make an exception this time if only to increase the coffers for AS / ICT. I'm not over keen on the change to the badge but, as a one off, it's fine and very well designed. I'll probably need to see it 'in the flesh' but, in the meantime, I'll think about.

Pretty much agree with the positive comments and I will be buying one to mark the 30th anniversary.

Was in two minds about the badge though, being a bit of an old fuddy-duddy traditionalist my first reaction was disappointment our proper club badge wasn’t on it. Having said that, on reflection, I think the design and colour of that badge goes nicely with the shirt and being for a one-off anniversary I think it works very well. I particularly like the way the eagle head is incorporated into the C, nicely done 👍

That's about where I've settled on the badge as well. I still don't like it but won't stop me getting the shirt. Going to go in tomorrow in the hope that it's only the online shop showing out of stock in my size.

I absolutely love this shirt, my Polish girlfriend can't understand my excitement that she's surprising me with it for my birthday next week 😅
