Just wondering how long people think that the dominance of the SPL will last and if it is broken, who will break it?

There's not much else to go on, Gretna just now and Hearts will be ongoing for the next few years...at least we are getting a decent title race!

If anyone is going to do it - Dundee utd if the stick with Levein long-term!

Maybe us if we stick with Brew long-term! :023:

Hibs seem to be a team that can challenge the OF regularly but just seem to be a bit inconsistent.

The title race is as close as it has been in a few years up here...and there is no big teams left in the cup up here either!

celtic, rangers aberdeen!!

no big teams??

Celtic aren't in it...Rangers or Partick and Dons aren't a big team these days...

So you must be refering to Queen of South and St Johnstone as big teams??

The OF have dominated Scottish football for a lot of years now and will do so for years to come. As has happened before, another team may win the league at some stage but the dominance will never change. Both those teams have a far superior fanbase and corporate image than any other team. There annual turnover is greater than all the other teams put together. So, unless the banks decide to call time on debt or the folk who travel to Glasgow from all corners of the UK and beyond change allegiance then they will be at the top forever. And thats the sad fact.

The Old Firm will always dominate Scottish Football, if they joined the Premiership the extra exposure, hype and general gloryhuntingnisity that would surround them would make things 100 times worse for all Scottish clubs.
