From what I recall from his time at Tannadice, McCracken was a decent enough player and at 26 will just be approaching his prime.

From what I recall, the Dundee United fans loved him as much as we love Phil McGuire :rotflmao:

Yes, they referred to him as "Dangerous Dave". A very capable defender but was a bit error prone.

Not the worst signing we could make, but he's not the replacement for Dods that we are crying out for.

Kind of a bigger, faster version of mcguire then.

Why is this thread in rumour mill? its certainly fact that Brew has spoken to him.

Could work out very well for us IMO, players seemingly on the slide do well with us. Dods at ST.J anyone?

Give him a chance I say.

I'm just glad that we are trying to strengthen the defence. Good move Mr.Brew

He was a regular in a Wycombe team that were pretty decent last season, jsut missing out on the play-offs and having one of the best defences in the division. he was also their captain, so hopefully is capable of taking a lead at the back.

He was ok for Utd as i recall...and to be honest i think any defender thats beyond 6 ft is better than McGuire.

I seem to recall that he went through a period where he turned in some great performances before his contract was up. It wasn't renewed and he headed down South which was odd given his performances for the Arabs prior to the end of that particular season.
