I thought this might be a good experience for our youth.I have just picked up an email regarding this, so I dont know if places are still available but with a departure time at 2pm on monday there is still may be a bit of time to get things organised.The downside is,you will miss the County game, the up side it will be a great experience.

The Ocean Youth Trust Scotland has some last minute opportunities for young people aged between 12 and 16 to sail from Inverness onboard Alba Endeavour.

24th August ? 30th August. Starting in Inverness at 14:00 and sailing to Oban Marina finishing at 16:00.

The voyage will take place on Alba Endeavour, a round-the-world race yacht. The voyage will travel through the Caledonian Canal and is an excellent opportunity to experience big boat sailing and complete the RYA start yachting certificate.

The normal cost of this voyage is ?540 but since it is short notice we are offering places for ?100. Places are strictly limited and so please contact us early to book a place.

The OYT Scotland has berths available for young people aged 12 ? 16, on a voyage from Oban to the Clyde next week from the 28th September to the 4th of October.

The voyage will be onboard our vessel Alba Venturer and will sail from Oban Marina on the Island of Kerrera and finish in the Victoria Harbour in Greenock. This voyage is an excellent opportunity to visit some remote and beautiful islands on the west coast. Participants will complete their RYA start yachting certificate and learn a great deal about themselves and others. OYT Scotland?s voyages are all about developing people and there are hundreds of opportunities to develop teamwork and communication skills. Above all we aim to make learning fun and all our staff are very experienced and always keep the adventure exciting and engaging.

Due to the short notice we are offering berths for the heavily subsidised rate of ?80, reduced from ?480. The crew are accommodated onboard and the price includes all food and safety equipment.

Please note that this opportunity is strictly limited to young people aged between 12 and 16. Our voyages are hard work and demanding and often visit remote parts of Scotland. We therefore may refuse participation in some medical circumstances.
