4 midfielders? Thats ridiculous. Yes players in the squad are slightly versatile but thats not the point.

This Scotland campaign is going to the end of a very short era for George Burley in my opinion.

I think Alexander should maybe be under the midfielder heading as that seems where Burley likes to play him, still 10 defenders and 5 midfielders doesnt seem enough for 2 must win games a few days apart, call up Black in future George.

I think that maloney will be counted as a midfielder as well as he is most likely to be on the left or right wing. Why is commons in the team and mccormack isnt. Enjoy your job while it lasts burley.

McCormack is out for the next 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in a Cardiff match a few weeks ago.

That's why.

Gordon

Hutton, Whittaker, Weir, G Alexander

Hartley, Brown, D Fletcher, Maloney

McFadden, Miller

Am i right in thinking

1) bosnia have to lose both thier games, including one against armenia who havnt won a game

or

2) france have to lose 3-0 in both thier games and us to score 6 from two games for us to qualify?

11 defenders for a must win game

I see he is using the old Brewster tactics

May as well go attacking and give the game a go, lets face it we arent qualifying anyways. Would like to see Miller left to keep the bench warm as its his best position!!! Think the physical presence of O'Connor could cause a few problems plus he can actually hold the ball up.

Gordon

Hutton Berra Wier G.Alexander

Faddy S.Brown Fletcher Maloney

S.Fletcher G.O'Connor

Do people still get excited about forthcoming Scotland games?

I will watch, but the enthusiasm has long gone.

I love the Scotland games. Being an ICT fan means I rarely have the opportunity to experience/enjoy a 52000 capacity crowd all united behind the team i'm supporting. Plus it's great to be able to enjoy going to the game with mates that are all Dons, Celtic, Rangers, Partick, Montrose, Dundee United etc etc fans and be united in celebration and consolation.

The fact that we have to travel down from Aberdeen for each game brings its own adventures as well! Drunken supporters bus journeys, early morning trains, borrowed transit vans and the like all bring great fun.

The joy of going to the away matches also can't be beat!

Not in the slightest. I view them as an obstacle to getting to games I care about (like ICT ones) and watching football over the weekend I find interesting (EPL, La Liga etc.)

I'll be heading along to watch an amatuer game this weekend if there is anything good on in the Aberdeen area.
