I fully support love2love on their policy , dont want to be surrounded by neds when your out enjoying yourself .

A tattoo doesn't make you a ned? I have a tattoo and I certainly am not a ned!

I think you'll find he was on a fishing trip.

I'm sorry for all the rowdy squaddies (sorry, 'war heroes') and other tattooed 'hardmen' who aren't getting in. It's such a shame. But at the same time, it improves the birds to guys ratio, and decreases the chances of getting started on for the rest of it, so I'm 100% behind the policy.

I'm an ex "rowdy" squaddie and have tattoos on both arms and on my back. I do not go out to "start" on anybody. I'm sure there are a few who do but in the same token there are some who have no tattoos and would sh1t themselves at the thought of going anywhere near a war zone, that will happily go out with the sole intention of picking on some tiny drunk lad. You should not tar all with the same brush. The lads in the Black Watch should be welcomed. I know that not all agree with the forces and where they are being sent but respect the lads who put there lives in danger day in and day out.

Now the guys won't be in there all you have to worry about are the tattoed women.LOL

Haha!

If you think "body art" looks good on women, take a look at some of the tattooed monstrosities lumbering onto the stage on the Jeremy Kyle show!

Yes ladies, if you want to go for the masculine look, get a tattoo.

And no, I'm not sexist - they look ridiculous on men too.

I've never heard so much crap in all my day's. So great for this venue if they can afford to turn custom away. Body art has been around for hundreds of years and for some people its a tribal thing. i.e Maori's. Tattooing is also a growing business with many men and women of all classes having something done. To associate tattoo's with neds is another myth. Most neds would run scared of the needles.

Love2Love will change their stance in a few weeks when the tills ring more slowly. Just glad I'm too old to go to the place anyway. The ICT crest on my shoulder would get me turned away.

Also can I add that this policy could be construed as being against the sex discrimination act.

It certainly is.

This policy basically is saying men with tattoos that are visable are going to cause trouble. I know plenty of guys who would cause trouble who have no tattoos, how do we determine who they are?

Agree wi Alex on this one, never understood why folk would want to give money to an establishment that doesn't want their custom or queue up outside for the pleasure of being abused and hassled by "the management" we were turned away from 27 as there were 6 of us and they "don't allow large groups of men" we were all 40/50 somethings and couldn't have been less intimidating but there loss as i now don't go for meals with the missus or drop in for a pint after work.If they dont want yer dosh ,feck em
