The most epic end to a Grand Prix that i've ever seen.

All too often F1 is mind numbingly boring but this was something else. What a brilliant drive by Button! But regardless of his talent, the excitement would not have been there had it not been for the weather which created incidents and then got the safety car out which bunched up the field on several occasions. They really should schedule Grand Prix in locations and times of the year when rain is highly likely. Not only does it lead to excitement for the fans, the constantly changing conditions make it much more of a challenge both for the drivers and the constructors with the result that the winners of wet races are more often the top drivers behind the wheel of adaptable all round performing cars rather than the fastest car regardless of which muppet is driving.

It has been suggested that tracks should be watered to lead to more challenging conditions but the powers that be rejected the idea on the grounds that it introduced unnecessary and avoidable risk. If the drivers were not prepared to compete where there was risk they would refuse to drive in conditions like on Sunday. Nobody is forcing the drivers to drive so if they don't want to face the extra challenge a watered track would offer then they don't have to sign their multi million pound contracts.

Wet races also have their comedy moments too. This made me laugh yesterday but it could have been very serious.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

In that case it should be held in Vancouver --we get rain almost daily for up to 9 months!!

And this year it has been so cold that yesterday I had to put on the heating and was shouting at the wife to" close the doors, it's freezing in here".

Astonishing weather patterns this year in Canada.

Huge floods in central Canada (prarie country)so vast that they are almost incomprehensible and I noticed that the Fraser river is running very high in this area right now. Hope it doesn't boil over the dikes.

Shoot! We even had tornadoes a few weeks ago.
