I'm not sure Owain Fon Williams (and Hennessey) would be too pleased to be described as 'getting on a bit'! Particularly for a 'keeper, 28 is approaching peak age.

Yeah it is billy McKay, did Jonny tuffey ever play for his country while with us? Easiest for me to remember was Richard Hastings for Canada. Any others?

Yeah, Tuffey got capped for Northern Ireland while with us.
Davide Xausa also played for Canada - same era as Hastings, I think.
Andrew Shinnie remains our only Scottish cap; with Marius Niculae being arguably our highest profile - featuring at the European Championships for Romania, while still on our books.

Owain Tudur Jones was the same! Everybody, me included, used to pronounce it 'Tewdor', when apparently it was 'Tudd-eer'...but I'm sure they've long since given up correcting folk!

My Welsh speaking mother claims Tudur should be pronounced "Tee-Deer".  I heard a few people pronounce it "Tudder" but if that was it it would be spelt Tydyr.  It has crossed my mind though that he's gone by Tudur in order to avoid the brain explosions that would come with attempting to pronounce Tydyr!

Congratulations are in order for our 'keeper, who tonight, became a full international - making his debut (as a sub) for Wales against The Netherlands!

Hopefully it's not his last cap, for many reasons not least because it doesn't seem right that he has a stat of conceding a goal every 16 minutes, which is more typical of various small islands in the Pacific!

Agreed.  It doesn't quite compare with Spain's Casillas who, by keeping a clean sheet against England, has now kept a clean sheet in 100 internationals.  Quite an astonishing record!  Incidentally, I think it was awfully decent of the English lads to refrain from scoring in order that Casillas could reach that milestone.
