Out of interest, how would you compare the performance of both managers?

I agree that STFU's method isn't ideal, but I can't think of a method that is better suited, and you are kinda making an argument that says managers can never be compared.  I was once an expert at digging myself into these kinds of holes 🤣

caley D, I am not really interested, I will leave that to all the Statto’s on here, remember him from the fantasy football league show with frank skinner and David baddiel.

It’s apples and oranges, and makes no difference what manager is the greatest especially when the team may be in free fall.
Must be a slow news day when others are wasting their valuable time getting involved in a spat between me and my new good mate, stfu .😄

got my ticket for stenny, season ticket for Arbroath and I am taking my granddaughter to St Andrews for a tennis tournament in a fortnight when after I drop her off on the Saturday morning I will make my way to Dundee and onward with a mate to Montrose for the final game of the season. ( don’t worry my wife is with us and will pick her up when day one of the tournament is over.)

spoiler alert, yes I have a mate.

Apples/oranges, what leagues, how long over what period, what injuries/ limitations; endless parameters that allows everyone to be able to come up with an answer that suits their point.
- You add DF time at Forest Green to make his record worse of example.

Absolutely meaningless for me as any prediction of how we will perform next season (and in what league) cannot /should not be based on DF or SK’s past football results. ICT will have I expect a large turnover of players at the end of this season and will be setting their stall for promotion from that league in one season.
Looking forward to seeing what emerges at the end of the season from AS on how he proposes to take the club forward. His communications will be vital / important at the outset I feel to provide the fans and any interested investor / business with a clear vision and timetable to join the merry ship ‘AS New Beginnings’.

bc

I acknowledged the fact that we have no knowledge on Kells ability to build a squad we don't even know what resources he might have to do so.

Next season is still an total unknown on almost every front.

Doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't compare his performance to his predecessor. Two different things.

Several grown men shouting abuse at players some of whom are still teenagers. I get the frustration but what is this meant to achieve? Can we calming down and get behind the team to get them over the line. Thank goodness we are away next week. Home games seem toxic of late.

Good on you for raising this, OCG! This is something I’ve never “got” about football and it begs the question of why a certain proportion of crowds actually go to games.

To enjoy the sporting action? To support a team? Or simply to seek some personal gratification or reflected glory - and if they don’t get it, then it’s got to be somebody else’s fault?
In an unfortunate number of cases it’s the last one and you do wonder what goes on in these people’s heads and what their world-views are? They seem neither to understand nor care that when they shout abuse at the team they claim to support, it’s worse than having no effect at all - it undermines the side and actually makes the outcome they seek less likely.

”Normal” fans sitting close to idiots like this need to make their views known to them and tell them to shut up… with “I’ve paid my money so I can shout what I like” absolutely no excuse. These people are a liability.

I was thinking that yesterday, our ability to change things. Kellachers substitutions were like for like, playing the same way.

how many times over the years have you seen on TV watching Scottish, English football a team a goal down with a few minutes left on the clock put a centre half up front to be a nuisance and cause a bit of havoc in a comfortable defence.

I wonder who said the above.

Man Utd 2-4 down in the second half of extra time tonight. They score 3 goals in the last 6 minutes to win 5-4 by putting centre half harry McGuire up top and he scores the winner.

well well.  Always worth a go, nothing to lose as it was for us on Saturday.

SK I am always available if you need to talk tactics.🤣🤣

I apologise, HONESTLY, SORRY, I couldn’t resist it.
