Beside football this is a supporters fourm also :004:

So, this is a slideshow of small but very proud FC Varteks ultras called White stones.

Most of pictures were taken in 1990's when the group had their finest moments. In early 2000 things went a bit downwards because of bad leadership, but lately we're "getting back on track" again  :004:

FC Varteks never had any great results (exept throwing out Aston Villa from Cup Winers Cup in 2001 and falling out against Mallorca in quarter-finals), but we live in hope, year after year. Because, as we wrote on one of the banners last year: Last in table, first at heart!

(I hope it makes sense in English too :003:)

What might help us is if you tell us about any rules or laws or experiences that we could look at and try and work out with the lawmakers. For example you have no problem with flares or banners. They seem to be allowed  How is violence controlled?

I love seeing flares at football matches.

I used to wear flares to the football but the 80's came along and they kinda went oot oh fashion  :001:

Hm, laws.... :004:

Well, we have something that could be translated "Law about football suporters". And this law could work well, but the conduction of this law by police is very poor, so supporters, especially ultras groups still have a lot of problems with police. White stones don't have almost any problems because we always think about cheering, singin, making a coreography rather than making problems to police or opposite groups. But if provoked too much we WILL respond :004:

Flares were allowed until few years ago, but then when this law came, they were forbidden. But...there is always BUT...  :004: the security measures before the game are still poorly conducted and you can come in with flares without any bigger problems, if you're experienced enough :004:

And if they catch you anyway, you will be fined with symbolic price and you can "go on".

Banners on the other side are fully allowed, but on the entrance, police looks the the content of the banner and then decides if it can go in. Everything that tolerates racism, call for violence and something like that will be taken from you.

Violence was and still is a huge problem. Maybe you 've already heard about notorous Bad Blue Boys from FC Dinamo Zagreb and their eternal enemies Torcida from Hajduk Split. Just search for videos from fights between this groups on Youtube and you'll get the picture. BBB are compared with well known Feyenord ultras, so you see what i mean. When Dinamo plays Hajduk, these games are always treated as "games of the high risk" by Croatian police. Normal decor on this games is throwing flares onto the pitch, fights in the streets and a lot of arrested every time. And then we come to the biggest problem. Police arrests them but they go out of jail in just couple of days because of poor justice system which just doesn't conduct this law as it should.

So i'm proud to say that White stones were never responsible for any "foul play" between ohter groups and we always focus on our team and our cheering coreography. :004:

That is why they call me Odjebijohndo in your parts - and is my old mucker Varazdin Vladimir Vasilj still alive and kicking.

Vladimir Vasilj! Well, he left Varteks few years ago and i don't know where he is now. Pretty good goalkeeper but with big gambling issue :015:
