That snuck in under the radar!  I take it, even though it is on RC3 it's still in testing?  The Firefox website is still pushing Firefox 2.0.0.14.

I don't think it's so much that it is still in testing, more to do with the fact that a lot of the add-ons/plugin developers are still playing catch-up.

I still have both 2 & 3 on my PC as there's one or two of the Web Development tools I use which haven't been migrated to 3 yet.

We are not far from releasing the next version of this website and it is optimised for FF3 and IE7, we've not encountered any backward compatibility issues with FF2, but there's plenty for early versions of Internet Exploder so if people just use general browser functions and don't rely on/need much in terms of add-ons I would say they should make the step up to FF3.

I've personally found FF3 to me noticeably faster than FF2 and light years ahead of IE7.  FF3 also doesn't seem to rely so much on having the latest, fastest PC as I run FF3 on one of my PC's which only has a 1.2 processor with no problems yet it struggles with IE and often hangs.

I use Ubuntu 8.04 on an old Dell laptop I acquired, I think it's FF3 Beta 5 or something like that it's using, while it is noticeably faster at loading pages and rendering images, I hate this "awesome bar" they've included.

I downloaded FF3 beta...and when i try to use it....it is sticking whist trying to do something regarding google toolbar. So basically...its not working. Anyone got any ideas? :024:

Don't use Google Toolbar with Firefox?... You shouldn't really need Google Toolbar anyway, pop ups can be blocked with the Adblock extension for Firefox plus you have a fully customizable search bar anyway.

It was causing issues as google toolbar was on my prevous version of FF3. Managed to get it installed without google toolbar after some tweaking

It'd help if we could get on their website to download it!

I got on to the site no problem ~ 7:30pm to download it.
