Two fine attempts by Shane and Cox deflected off target followed by a shocking corner from Doran.

Not an enthralling first game with St Jones Town unfortunate to be behind but we look the better footballing team but nowt to separate the two teams.

Just decided I hate watching us on telly - radio ok at a push but much prefer the real thing. Hope 2nd half more entertaining but will settle for winning ugly.

Not a convincing performance so far. St.j can feel hard done by as they have had the better chances and even as the half ended u still thought they would get an equalizer. Still happy to be 0-1 up at half time but interested to see how we come out 2nd half. Strongly suspect more of the same but would like to see Rooney get into the play more -even Foran has been giving him a bit of stick. Foran has had a good first half at both ends of the park. Esson also been his usual self - good save early on and out on yer man early to reduce the angle when one on one.

Great chance for Rooney from a Ross cross - seen him score those before - then a good save from Esson - on TV looked then like a possible pen with a push on Foran and another scuff which Esson saved easily - end to end and better stuff.

Came in very late today (or tonight in U K) and the news has got me all animated.

Good job, since the Vancouver Canucks ice hockey club got beaten again last night. But what a game it was. my nails are bitten off the stumps.

ICT are going to win this game..mark my words.

As for Doran--I have heard the opinion of some posters that he is not fast enough but the last goal I saw him score was an absolute corker and if he can continue to hit them like that then what's a wee bittie lack of speed ..eh?
