Someone had the highlights of that 3-1 cup win over Hearts on youtube, anyone know what happened to them?

I threw them away with my 3-1, Tokely score first and bagan to score any time treble - and no **** would go fer another 3-1 - McKay to score first and Shinnie to score any time treble - would they ?

All abord the caley jags express....or travel club bus #4 in my case.

Not normally one for away games but managed to budget this one in because I couldn't stand missing out on what could be a very special day for the whole club.

Fishing doesn't earn me much these days as my rods going a bit limp and the ice is causing havoc but I've got a couple of pollocks down my trousers and they should earn me enough for a ticket and travel.

You won't be totally limp this weekend, the least you'll get is a semi! :D

The "complaint" about the tickets makes me smile. As the proceeds are split two ways since it is a cup competition, rather than just for the home team as it would be for a league match, then surely that is a welcome income boost and another reason to be pleased we have progressed to this stage?

On the off chance...  is anyone driving up from or near the Greater Manchester area on Saturday morning to go to the game?  I know it's pretty late in the day but I've through bribery managed to swap my shift at work on Saturday, so if I can get a ticket on the day and a lift I'll head up - I will of course share the fuel costs!  Long shot I know. Would get the train but it's extortionate to book now.

  • Departs 09:00 Manchester , Shudehill Interchange

  • Arrives 14:40 Edinburgh , Edinburgh Bus Station

If you're desperate there's always the Megabus. £17 for a single and should get there in time for kickoff (just!).

No problem. You could also look at booking Manchester (one leaves at 6:40) to Glasgow then Glasgow to Edinburgh separately which would get you in a couple of hours earlier. Quite a lot of travelling though.

PM me if you get up.  I will have a spare ticket there on the day I can sell to you.

I'll be driving up from South Wales early Saturday morning. Happy to pick you up on the way. Only trouble is I''ll be driving back up to Inverness after the game so it' s only one way sorry. I'malso relying on there being tickets on sale on the day.

I believe there will be an announcement tomorrow about tickets being available on the day (I guess it depends on what is sold to that point).

However, you could purchase them over the phone and ask for them to be made available for collection at Easter Road.

At the moment it's £36.50 day return to Edinburgh from Preston on the train. Less than 2.5 hours each way. You can arrive from 10.30 to 1.30 and leave at 18.15 or 18.50. Twice the price from Manchester and you have to change! Redspottedhanky.com is a good site - no card charges.

There are 100 odd regulars at away games. These people I am pleased are going The other 1800 odd attending I'm not particularly bothered about as they don't make the effort any other week.

What about the 1800 to 1900 season ticket holders that provide money to the club each year and give money direct to OUR club. Do you not care about them going? ( by the way I go home and away)

Why are these people choosing this game as one to attend? Because its a cup semi with the chance of profession to a final (which is of course a massive achievement for us)

My issue is where were they when it was a baltic day in Perth or when we battled back from 3 nil down at Tannadice. There are people travelling huge distances to this game because they recognise it as potentially an historic occasion and I respect that. But if we assume all the regular away fans are ST holders then there are 1600+ others who do not regularly travel away and I have to question why.

:fishing:

OK.  I'll bite.

This smacks a bit of the "only the regular away fans are real fans" nonsense that crops up from time to time.  Time for a reality check here I think.

There is a small minority who regularly go to away matches and make a lot of noise.  That's fantastic.  Obviously those fans personal circumstances allow them to do it.  But amongst those are a few who are central belt based and who don't get to all the home games.  Some will actually attend fewer games in total than those who attend all the homes games but don't travel.

In another post you talk about folk being disrespectful but in doing so you are being disrespectful of others.  OK, so there are a lot of season ticket holders who don't go to away games but there are also a lot of season ticket holders who aren't able to get to all the home games but have supported the club by buying a season ticket all the same.  Respect to them, please.  Bear in mind also that supporting the club at home puts more cash into the club's coffers than going to an away match.

And it really is disrespectful of the many hundreds of fans who go to home games who are rarely able to go to away matches because of work and family commitments.  Just be grateful that so many have been able to rearrange their lives so that they can support the team on Saturday.  Remember too that there are many who, because of their health or the health of loved ones they care for simply can't travel.

Of course we would all like the support to be bigger but we all have our personal reasons for whether we choose to attend any game or not.  If you are able to get to most games then that is just great.  For whatever reason, most supporters go to half the games or less and if we want the club to flourish we should make them all feel welcome whenever they are able to or choose to come to a game.  Make them feel welcome and who knows, they just might help swell the ranks at the next away league game.

I am coming up for Wakefield for this game and yes, it is my 1st game of the season but for many reasons. 1. being 4 hours away from the nearest game. 2. Work commitments some weekends. 3. planning my wedding. I have supported the club from the 1st day of the seaon in 1994 and always will do. My support and love for the club is no different to those who attend every week, i just have to try and make it when i can and this is one of those weekends whether it had been a cup semi final or not.

Well said Dad!!

Singing section sold out ages ago.  Top tier now open but maybe not showing online until section 16 sells out

Any tickets purchased online can be collected from the ICT ticket office until 5.00pm Friday and then any not collected will be taken to Easter Road for collection from their ticket office from 1pm onward

Section 18 - back rows

You just started an argument here :tongueincheek: .  Janet had booked tickets for "singing section". And when you put up Section 16,  trouble was brewing in Batley!!  lol
