Could have been worse. Tempering any disappointment with the thought that there are 7 Premiership sides who would happily swap places with us right now.

Listened on OAM - anyone else hear the cheering and joy form chick young when Stranraer scored then the utter disappointment when we score. ****.

We were due to play our re-arranged league game against Hibs on the 18th February. I assume the league game will be moved again.

Chick Young was suggesting that the replay will be on TV and therefore yeah we will get money for it.

Will we gain money for it going to a replay then?

Yes, just over £80,000 if it's televised which it may be as it's the only replay so far but, if tomorrow's tie between Dundee United and St Mirren ends all square that is likely to be a more attractive option for broadcasters.

It will only be on tv if there is a winner between Dundee United and St. Mirren. If that games a draw then that game would be picked over us. Used to be £83,000 for the live game so decent bit of cash for us if there's a winner tomorrow

Well, nearly 'after the Lord Mayor's show'.  But we are still in the draw, and I'll take that.  Assuming we win replay I'd like to avoid Aberdeen.  We'll save them for the final.  Great that Celtic are out as well.

Let's get back to league business now for a few weeks and try and keep in the hunt for 2nd place.

Quick thoughts from the bus...

We are very lucky to still be in this competition. A hugely disappointing performance from ICT. We didn't deserve to go out but we simply didn't create enough to win the game either.

Very little creativity up front. Doran got lucky with the first. Looked like a cross that evaded everyone and snuck in at the back. Stranraer equalised through a penalty. No idea of it was a fair award or not but Brill had no chance.

In the second half Stranraer took the lead after a long ball found one of their attackers in acres of space. He finished well with a low powerful shot past Brill.

Luckily we pulled level 2 minutes later after Foran knocked down to McKay who tucked it home from close range.

Interesting to see us move to 4-4-2 quite early on in the game once Foran came on. We never seemed comfortable once we made this switch.

Big improvement needed for us to see them off in the replay and also to get back on track in the league.

Tues 18th feb. Hibs game will now need to be shifted again.

On the plus side there's a chance we may get a Sky payday if our replay is shown on tv (currently the only replay)

Very much a potential banana skin today after the euphoria of last week so I am just glad we are still in it.  With Celtic going out it is a very open competition so we have as good a chance as we are ever going to have to pick up a trophy.  Apart from making it more open, the good thing about Celtic's elimination is that it removes the possibility of them being drawn against the Rangers.  When those two clubs have their first meeting the publicity surrounding it will be all encompassing so it is good we can avoid it for another year and have the focus of attention on other more deserving clubs.  Well done Aberdeen :clapoverhead:

Obviously it would have been better had we won but with Hibs getting beaten by Raith it's not been a bad set of results today.  Aberdeen being drawn against the Rangers tomorrow would make the weekend even better.

Could not have put it better myself DD, I am glad we are still in it and look forward to the replay which we must win!

If replay is 18th then it won't be on sky surely because that day is Champions league day, would it be on bbc then?

Real potential banana skin tie so happy to take the replay and the spot in the draw - bet TB would be happy with that right now

Agreed... just as well everyone is fit, with Foran, Watkins and Vincent all back as we have a few fixtures coming up now...be interested to know what are peoples priorities now, would we settle for staying in the top six, winning the League Cup, and avoiding being knocked out by Stranraer..but going out in the next round...or push on for a second cup final, or push on for a top three place in the league?

We were bound to come down to earth after last week's high ,were still in it and bound to go on and win at home. Roll on the cup double .

I hope the players don't go into the replay with the attitude that we are bound to win.
