That would be a perfectly legitimate line to take if Dennis had been told that any new contract depended on how he played between now and the end of the season but not, as appears to be the case, if he had been offered a new contract unconditionally and that offer was withdrawn.

Wyness has been poor in the last couple of season and has struggled to find the net of a consistent basis.  I know injuries have played a part in this, but his last goal this season was in October and that's not the kind of ed form to be granted an extension.  Legend or not his performance on Saturday was un-acceptable. 

At least Bayney gives the side a bit of enthusiasm when he plays.

Last 3 seasons since DW came back ..... 21 goals in 80 appearances, Bayne - 13 in 86 ... but never mind, at least he's enthusiastic !!!
