Will Livi chuck it ?

Check this out...

Will Livi chuck it ?

If the players are short of money {seeing as how they have missed 5 wage packets}, I'd be surprised if they weren't able to think this one through...

The 2/1 against Ross looks like an attractive bet now, especially if you think Livi will chuck it , but you'd best get your money on quick, once the Bookies get wind of this the odds will tumble...

Even if they don't chuck it what appetite will Livi have for the game ? the club has nothing much to lose or gain from where they are in the league, they won't be going up nor will they be going down.

It's down to how they feel about the game as they beat Ross 4-1 on the 13th Decembe, mind you, they've only won once game since then beating QoS 2-0 on the 20th December.

Not much value in 2-1 and Livi players are reasonably pro bunch , so no.

However if Livi were a lower division team then I would say yes. ( president: 3rd div Hamilton in 2000)

Hello Graham...

Livi are probably the best team, the result from the last game between then mighyt indicate that, but it's attitude that wins or loses games, and if they are *issed off then Ross could be worth a bet. The other unknown quantity is the new signing for Livi, he may not know what the team expects of him...

If you do belive Ross Coutny will win, an Im not convinced with them playing away - HT/FT @ 9/2 with Ladbrokes is good value, tho I know Bob ur not too keen on HT/ FT as its a bigger risk. Looked at Betfair, majority of the money is on County , but no signifcant amounts yet.

Even though 9/2 is tempting, I near always go for the safer bet, but... IF Livi are going to throw it then I doubt they'd wait until the second half.

As far as Ross having the ability to win away, if memory serves me well only Dunfermline have won more away games in this league, so Ross aren't shy of winning away from home...

I'll wait and see how the mood moves me in the morning...

I'm not touching it, Livi are by far the better team and as mentioned the players are Pro's, if County were a better team and could put them under pressure then they may just crack but I dont think they are upto the task.

Just back from Conways Bar in Ramelton, a great night, fiddlers and a lovely wench dancing...

Anyway, back to the plot...

Fair enough Clacher Livi are Pro's, but have you any idea how mangie a Pro can get when they don't get paid !

I'm sure this current wages saga started when they beat Ross County 4-1 in Dingwall, they have only lost once since November and its been rumbling on in the background the whole time.

They were behind in their last 3 games but pulled something out of it in each with goals in the last few minutes, they came from 2-0 down away to in-form Morton last week to draw 2-2 with 10 minutes left! I'm not sure I could back against them, I will admit the wages issue does seem to be dragging a bit now but still, theres other 2/1 shots on the card that look a hell of alot more interesting (Stirling Albion for one!)

I'll text you today any PTLs

Thanks for the above Braveheart, I was still pondering the game, but knowing they've been paid is enough to put me off backing Ross now, thing is, should I now be backing Livi ? wages tend to give folks a bit of a lift, and that new signing will want to make his mark on the team.

After scouring the games looking for the weakest link it looks to me as though Plymouth could be the team to bet against. They are away to Ipswich, in the reverse game last October Ipswich were 2-0 up at half time, finally winning 3-1 full time.

Ipswich are on a good run in their league, winning their last 3 {or was it 4} whist Plymouth are doing just the opposite, so at 4/6 Ipswich seem to be a value bet to me, off to Ramelton now to chuck 1,500 Euro at 'em, I might even chance a bit on the ht/ft.

Well that's a first !!!

Just nipped down to Ramelton to get me bet on Ipswich, and their coupon says 4/6, I gives the bloke the bet and the money, he looks at the slip then straight away he picks up the Racing Post {the page with all the different Bookies coupon odds in it}, so I thought "here we go, 4/7 coming up" you can imagine how flabberghasted when he says...

"The best odds for Ipswich are 8/11, we can lay you that" !!!

At first I'm thinking he thinks 8/11 is worse than 4/6, so I says OK, then he says, on any bet over 100 Euro we lay the best published odds !!!

I'm staggered, this is a tiny shop, part of a tiny chain {maybe a dozen shops}, powned by a bloke not a corporation and they are offering me "best odds" !!! try getting that in Hills, Ladbrokes, Tote, Corals et-al !!!

Anyway, in the bluster of the moment I says...

"Well Thanks a Million {I'm learning the language}, that's a double bonus for the bet then".

"How do you mean" ? he says...

"Well it helps when it's me son is the referree for the game" :thumb04:

Wish you'd have seen his face, for a moment he was handing me the money back, until the penny dropped that is, then he says...

"I hope your kiddin' me"...

"Not at all" I said, "just watch out for the penalty in the first half"...

At that point I left afore he could figure it out :rotflmao:

Be a laugh if Ispwich do get a penalty, grin...

Talk about being hissed off, I near went for Livi after reading the latest news, but thought I'd found a softer spot with Ips fekkin wich...

Not only did they let me down, but the Ref did too, hard to believe how Plymouth kept them from scoring, you can imagine what I had to say when I saw the result come up in the pub. The rain was wishing it could have fallen somewhere rather than on me, I was fekkin blisterin', it only made it worse to hear that Livi had won...
