The one question not yet asked is do we have a keeper other than Kyle. Everyone is assuming Esson is staying but I haven't seen anything official to say he still has a contract or has been offered one.

He signed a 2 year deal last summer

Is TB likely to select him again? It's such a shame no one can tell the fans anything...

Still...

What do we need to know?

What are you worried about?

Esson still has another year to go, so unless another keeper is signed it is more than likely he will be playing next season.

Why then would Esson get in the starting line up this year when he hardly done a thing wrong last season, so we then bring in Fraser who was rank towards the last few games and could have been better - which we then should have brought back in Esson....Esson was the one staying, surely his heart was more in it then Fraser!?

Couldnt believe it when Fraser came in full time for Esson personally.

Yes but didnt i see somewhere, possibly on here that we had another keeper on trial?

how did that guy work out, or any of the trialists for the matter, any news on them?

Esson won't be going anywhere with a year remaining on his deal. I think he will be the starting goalkeeper when the season starts and whoever comes in will simply provide competition with Kyle as 3rd choice.

Could not agree more.

The pink pranett is a MAJOR factor in us playing 1st division football IMO.

Got to lay the blame squarely at Butchers door for picking him IMHO .

I remember hearing Esson was dropped due to a bust up in training. Not sure if he'll play again. Was he included in any friendlies?

I believe we have a keeper on trial at the moment, but it is with a view to them being second keeper and there's no doubt that Esson will be first choice from the off.

No doubt?

I got an image at the bottom of my cornflakes bowl this morning which left me in no doubt.

IHE's teacup would be a more reliable guide.

I wouldnt be a happy guy in Essons poisition coming back in as first choice after being left on the bench for the relegation battle - id have much rather had Esson in goal!

The froth pattern at the bottom of my stein glass suggests that Esson will be the regular custodian next season. Mikey Fraser may regret his decision but I can understand why he stuck his two fingers up to Brewster and the muppets.

After watching Canada V Jamaica last night, we could do worse than offer Greg Sutton a deal ! Sutton is unattached right now after being released by Toronto FC .... and was only released because TFC had to make room in their wage structure for incoming outfield players.

THB I think Esson being no 1 depends on how good the goalies on trial are.

With the Fraser v Esson case, one goalies strength seemed to be the others weakness. So if a goalie comes in and ticks all the boxes he will be no 1

Typical Michael Fraser goalkeeping on his European debut.

Hilarious - a weak header and he dives straight into the net.

I'm so glad we got shot of the worst goalkeeper I have ever seen.

Come on Esson!

Like every goals keeper mikey fraser had his good and bad moments, i seem to remember a certain save from a MacManus header when we beat celtic 3-2 :P

I rate esson really highly.

Yes, the main reason we all remember it is that it's the ONLY save the boy ever made.

Michael was pure pish.
