That's one gorgeous bird! Reminds me of the bloke in town who always has the two eagle owls with him on a Saturday.

Love the one where she is fending off the buzzard. Gives you a great representation of the size difference between the two - never knew there was that much of a size difference. I've sort of grown up with Buzzards as they are all around my Grannys house outside Dornoch and one flew over my head once out in the field and I thought that was massive! Pales in comparison to a Golden Eagle which I've only seen in the wild twice.

I was on holiday in the Highlands 6-7 years ago on one of them Shearings {of Wigin, of course}

coach trips...

We were going through the glens when the {Wigin} guide told us he'd often seen eagles around

there...

I asked him how could we tell if what we saw was an eagle or a buzzard...

He thought for a moment, and then said... {lapsing into the vernacular}...

"If it looks like a big bird... it's a Buzzard, if it's as big as a back doer... it's an eagle" !

Can't be fairer than that hey !
