Sub forum for "anything goes"

Just wondering if there is any chance of a "news and current affairs" sub forum for the anything goes forum? It would be an excellent place to discuss, well things in the news, I know this is predominantly a football forum but the anything goes board is a bit random.

A news and current affairs board would provide a place where we could discuss political and more serious subjects and it would save me from having to pop back to the old forum I used to use (a drug orientated forum, Im aff it!!!!) it might also give my mind some sustenance as opposed to me trying to find mental stimulation in places where I really should not be looking :004:

I totally understand if the answer is no but I think that as a community we are slightly lacking in the more intelligent discussions which I know that many of us are yearning for.

It would also let the "anything goes" forum become a place for a lot more light hearted discussion.

Like I say, just a thought.

not a bad idea actually.

we are about to move to new forum software in the next couple of weeks (or so) and we may incorporate this idea and look to have a couple of sub-forums inside AG. one for serious and one light hearted postings ....

Cheers Scotty, perhaps then I can show this community that I do have a grown up philosophical side other than the pain in the erse kid that shows through here most of the time :021:

I think jokes would be part of the light hearted portion of AG just as it is now Connie.

There needs to be a bit of balance. We could theoretically have sub forums all over the place but that would undoubtedly lead to much confusion and possibly arguments as to where something should be posted, but if splitting a forum into two or more distinct sections makes sense we will consider it.

Although this is a football forum, we are happy to have sections like anything goes for people to discuss other stuff that may not be football related and the idea of making separate sections for "sensible" or "serious" subjects within the anything goes forum and then have another for the light hearted stuff seems to make sense. It was a similar comment that led us to create the "memories" section for those who wanted to discuss Inverness in years gone by.

Keep the ideas coming - we wont promise that any or all will be included, but if they make sense then we will certainly consider them.
