I feel sure that this thread started as a protest at swearing in the family section or next to it - this is therefore related to children specifically! Your point re adults therefore is of little consequence as we all like to let rip!!

I would like to hear Scotty's thoughts on swearing from the crowd, when he follows his home Canadian team and the comparison with here.

There are children throughout the stadium not just in the family enclosure. The position is made clear by the announcere before each and every match.
