Firstly i agree that CB is not cutting it with ICT..

.Dressing room lost

.Appauling Tactics

.Dodgy transfers

But lets face it..a new manager is not going to solve our problems. Yes i agree we need a new face in charge

but please..we need a board who stop protecting their own interests and invest their monies in our club..

Many of the posters on here think a new manager will sort it out...but he will face the same barriers and hurdles that CB is facing. Lets face it our board's priorities are not the club...its their own pockets.

Oh and lastly, get rid our stadium announcer, not only does he support another SPL team but surely his job is to create an atmosphere not just announce substitutions and the other teams goal scorers.

Perhaps. But at least a different mananger might have some semblance of tactical knowledge and man-management abilities, and the ability to get the players to play to their potential.

i agree to an extent that a new gaffer wont solve everything but anyone half decent could get us to survive comfortably in the spl

A new manager would at least start to address the problems instead of feeding the blame culture Brewster has created. It's everyone elses fault but his own and that has been and is going to be his downfall ultimately.

The Board have a finite amount of cash to use as has been publically portrayed recently in the press with DS and GB having to raise funds for transfers. Therefore they're not in a position to line their pckets. The members of the Board have families and commitments outwith the club and to expect or demand they throw their money at the club because you want them to is unfair. None of us has money to burn.

There are a lot of our regular fans who also support another SPL team, which is to be expected with a new team newly in the SPL. Would you be rid of them as well?

I'm not trying to pull your post apart but trying to get a balanced view across, there are no black and white issues at ICT just a burning one.

5th STAND... If there are ICT supporters who follow another SPL team then they should be ashamed of themselves...sorry but you cant do that

Besides the point was about our stadium announcer...he's shocking

I can but I don't, I followed Hibs until the merger and believed then that one day ICT or CT as it was then would reach the top flight and I didn't want to have split loyalties. I wouldn't be too quick to judge others though.

Bring back Dougie Riach :rotflmao:

Think your mebbe's being a wee bit naive their BornCaley, maybe your moniker explains much of that but ICT have grown rapidly in a relatively short time as Inverness has experianced rapid growth and many incomers with strong loyalties to their home team are comman place at TCS.I regularly followed ICT and Dundee (I know their not SPL currently!) and know many more with similar split loyalties be it Hib/Hearts /Aberdeen even Yenited :o and of course many pre merger lads who chose one or other OF and still harbour feelings for them.It takes many years and several generations to build a loyal hard core fan base

Certainly didn't work when Levein replaced Brew at Dundee Utd, Walter Smith replaced both PLG or Berti Vogts etc etc through the entire history of football.

The manager might not be the whole problem but he's a substantial part of it and repacing him now would at least give us a sporting chance of avoiding the drop which I doubt would be the case if things do not change.

HIELANDEE & 5TH STAND-- I know i appear to be Harsh, but its something that always bugged me. Im certainly too long in the tooth to be naive, I have only supported 1 team, well 2 really; Caledonian FC & ICT. I know from growing up in Inverness it was popular to have a "big team" as well as supporting thistle or clach or caley. And you can see what that has caused where we have Invernessians in the Home end supporting the OF. Its disgusting.

I live in Edinburgh and it would be quite easy for me to support Hearts or Hibs, but why? Im an Invernessian and cant imagine supporting any other team than the one i grew up with.

Im passionate about my team despite my location and desperate for Inverness to get behind it. We wanted an SPL team and now weve got it, the town seems to be abandoning it.

anyway back on topic guys and no offense meant.

Lets start by getting rid of CB & Malky...small steps

I have mate who is local but always supported Celtic. A couple of seasons as an ICT SPL season ticket holder and he found himself authentically emotionally changed and supporting Caley against Celtic. He is and will always be a Highlander. Now that he has Caley in the SPL Celtic are his second team. I am not saying that people should 'pretend' to care but simply give it a chance; your local football team represents your area, your values, you...it is about so much more than just football!

This is exactly why people should support their local club regardless. I am not from the area but got my son into his local team as soon as he had decided to follow one side of the old firm; a choice you have to make as a small boy in Scotland it seems! He is now Caley till he dies!! The problem with Scottish football is the ridiculous old firm or nothing divide which means that the 'diddy' teams have difficulty surviving while every town boasts profitable old firm social clubs.

The media should show a more leadership here; I once left TCS on a Sat where every SPL team minus the old firm (who were playing on the Sun) had played and what did Jim Traynor talk about for the whole journey home?.......Bobo Baldy! No mention of the 5 games that had been on around the country. Yesterday the talk was ALL about how Rangers had fared, how to use Barry Ferguson and how this affected the title race and nothing about Caley apart from the the obligatory "er, um, er, and they they go up the other end and score" 2 mins from our 'diddy' team manager.

Only an Excuse!! An excuse for ever less impressions more like! Cellic, Rangers, Jim Calderwood (as he is easy to do) and Manuer along with aged old firm players whose impressions now have a personality of their own. Does the rest of Scotland pay its licence fee for this? The plight of Caley, The sucess of Dundee Utd, The move of St Mirren, The sucess of East Stirling....surely there was some comic material in this?

Typically the media will say they need to reflect the interests of their customers but this is a copout and the OF could still get the lions share of the coverage with masses less for them and more for the other teams.

Scottish football professionals around the world, and particularly in the English Premiership, abound. For such small country Scotland produces masses of talent at playing coaching and manegerial level. but only so many can play for the old firm and the rest leave for more lucrative pastures.

Rant over

Re the announcer...I agree he is rubbish. IHE for the Job!

And while we are on....if the club cares about the fans sort out the pie queues! :rotflmao:

Even without claiming to "know the answer", it's blatantly obvious that it's not Brewster.

Removing him from his position is only one part of what needs to be done to turn things around and we're rapidly running out of time because whoever is brought in to replace him, aside from having to be the right person, also needs some time to work in the transfer window.
