Quite a few of us enjoyed the surreal ramblings of the Real Leigh Griffiths Blog a few years ago. I read today that the writer, who was simply a football forum contributor known as Dundee Barry, has a novel coming out shortly called The Tartan Special One, based on similar themes (Scottish football and Dundee). I'll be interested to read some reviews and could well be tempted to put it on my Santa list.

Here's an example of this guy's writing style and phenomenal imagination, a "Jocky Scott" preview of Scotland v USA. Warning, contains lots of sweary words.

If you liked the blogs this is more of the same, laugh out loud stuff on every page but more or less a potted version of the LG blogs with names changed to protect the innocent! His observations on "clubbies" are superb and his sharp affectionate **** taking and ridiculing of the nonsense and shenanigans within the football world ( particularly at Dens) is brilliant.Probably not everyones cup of tea but if you "get it" it is genius :-)
