ICT Supporters Trust Statement on ICTFC decision to move training base to Kelty

Following today's announcement by the club, the Supporters Trust has released this statement tonight:

We have seen the emotion this announcement has caused, and have had more than 50 new members join the Trust today alone, which reflects and vindicates our desire to speak on behalf of our members and achieve a meaningful voice of the fans in the running of our club.

We are grateful for all the messages of support we have received, and for the confidence shown in us by our existing and new members. We will continue to work hard on your behalf.

50 new members is very encouraging indeed. Lets get more. It's only a fiver which, in some parts of this country, is less than the price of a pint of beer. Strength in numbers is what we need right now. Just do it.

I received an email today with an update of the last 15 days which is something the club should be doing.

The Supporters Trust have been amazing at keeping in touch with supporters over the last few weeks. Their updates and clarification on everything that is going on have been most welcome.  Their updates testify that I'm not the only one who doesn't know what is happening - no one does either. The silence seems to speak volumes - more secrets to come I fear.

In the immediate aftermath of yesterday's announcement by the club, members of the Supporters Trust Board were very busy responding to the content, doing interviews with BBC, STV and MFR, whilst the Courier published an article based on one interview that took place a few minutes after the release was issued:

We have seen this morning's breaking media reports and it is clear that things are moving very quickly at the club.
