The Link in the Problems

The two main problems for ICT just now are the shirts and the work permit for Marius Niculae so here's what I noticed.  The permit is taking so because Niculae is a Romanian and the away shirts is taking so long because of the change of sponsor and Errea shirts are made in, yes that's right Romania!  If everything goes to plan over the next few weeks then hopefully these things will arive at the same time.

Ahh right, I get it now, Marius Nicolae is the team leader at Errea and they will not release him until the order has been dispatched to the Tulloch Stadium. Well they are quite right, we need our strips.

Maybe he will take the strips over with him thus saving transportation costs.

SORT IT OUT :33:

Rings a bell, think I read that somewhere. It makes sense withholding his permit until all his aquaintances in Romania get working to get the order ready.  That should hurry both things along.  :024:

Don't think we have done the 'what colour were we playing in yesterday' topic yet. Mmmmmm was it the new strip, but I suppose that they might have come direct from the Errea factory in ITALY and not via Romania.  :029:

Ouch my head hurts.  :015:

Well you learn something new every day. And there was me thinking that our deal with Errea UK provided goods produced in their factory in Parma Italy.

Are you perhaps getting mixed up with 'Errea Point' which is a network of specialised 'service centres' around the world, including one in Arad Romania. There are about five in UK.

The purpose of this network, which is fully supported by Errea, is to provide a technical and complete service to sports clubs around the world providing such things as design help and other support, including arranging sponsorship etc.

I'm 100% sure that shirts by Errea are made in Romania and this is likely done because it is far cheaper to get them made there than it would in Britain or Italy.

The Errea factory I thought was in Parma, Northern Italy as they were always banging on about the latest technolgy in sports clothing production and that it is in Italy.  As Alex said though there is a Errea Point in Eastern Europe in Romania and there even used to be a Romanian team with an Errea strip but they saw the light and ditched them.

Didn't realise that Arbroath had an Errea strip also - so we're not alone in Scotland  :003:  Time for a change though as discussed many times previously.

Clicky Clicky

The winning designer will receive a trip with a parent / guardian to the Errea factory in Parma, Northern Italy to view the sportswear production process.

Of course it is possible they are flying them to Italy to view production in Romania via satelite link up!!!!

Okay I can now confirm the facts.  Errea do have a factory in Romania where some of the really large orders are made.  Our order is relatively small and is definitely made in Italy and the same place they make the ham.  :003:

The down side to that is that we no longer have the opportunity to have the problem solved along with the work permit.  Unless of course we now sign a foreign player who is based in Italy.  That should sort it out.
