Channel 4's Alternative Xmas Message

I believe that Ch4 are showing a xmas message from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Needless to say, this has p1ssed off certain folks, not to mention Israel. So they prob see it as a reason to bomb Iran now!

I wonder if this was done to rile folks, as I really cant see why the need to air his views at all....although, the other part of me thinks...why not.

He's got as much right to air his message as say.... the Pope, the Queen, GWB or whoever...

I thought his message was just as pertinent and relevant as any of the above - He was right to question whether Jesus would have approved of what America (supported by Britain) has done in Iraq or Afghanistan.

How can our Gordon Brown say "our boys" are doing a terrific job in Afghanistan which is helping to prevent Taleban terror attacks in this country?

It's been demonstrated very clearly that the terror threat in this country is much more likely to come from Islamic fundamentalists in the Leeds/Bradford area or dissafected Iraquis in the Paisley/Glasgow area...

It's all quite bizarre really. The Israelis, most politicians and the media constantly churn out again and again and again that the President of Iran said that "Israel should be wiped off the map". It's actually utter nonsense. He never actually said that at all, but it seems to give "lets bomb Iran like we did Iraq crowd", ie - Bush a wee bit of excitement.
