It looks like moves are being made which is encouraging. This and a combination of the supporters trust meeting have given me something to smile about.

Sounds good to me, former Chelsea

I rate John collins judgement so heres hoping. I'm just glad to see some movement at long last. One thing is for sure though they have to start producing by the Hamilton game or Brew has to do the decent thing and resign. Still need a striker. I'd love it if they could get Windass till the end of the season.

I can hear it now though, Hong Kong Thierry, never one super guy, Hong Kong Thierry, quicker than the human eye....

Both had a good run of games at Hibs if I remember right. Both have a seasons experience in Scottish game if not more. Anyone know if the are left or right footers as I cant rcall. Both left i think. If they stop us losing goals they will do for me, aslong as they are prepared to scrap and fight.

Gathuessi was honking for Hibs in his first game for them. Dangerous passes across his box that didn't reach the player ripe for an interception and the like. I hope for our sake, he's improved since then!

For a start I would not consider either to be "experienced" (that not suppose to be what we're looking for?), certainly not recently.......

Morais hasn't kicked a ball in a competitive match since the end of August 2008 and I'm also a little concerned by this article - Clicky Clicky - last thing we need right not is someone who is likely to cause more disruption.

Gathuessi hasn't kicked a ball in a competitive match since May 2008 and is nicknamed "Hong Kong Thierry" due to his aggressive playing style which is reflected in his disciplinary record.

Sounds like Hibs are just looking to get some dead wood off the payroll to me.

Could be, but it does give the squad more depth, without committing to a transfer fee, and they have been in Scotland a while, were regulars, maybe one might shine and join in the summer?

However i believe that central defence, central midfield and a striker is the priority so these guys are to give depth, still waiting for the bread and butter signings.

hate to burst your bubble but these guys are the bread and butter signings! The tactical genius will play Morais up front (he played there in his youth) and Gatheussi as a center back (Collins said that he could also play there when he signed him). Hope I'm wrong but not holding my breath.

I fear you may be right...

I'm inclined to share CaleyD's concern regarding Morais, but would still be hopeful he is anxious to start afresh and rebuild his career...

I think the club should give him that chance.... It's not like we've got too many other options right now.

At least we know he has got a good boot on him :rotflmao:

Im not overly concerned about something like that. I don't think that episode is indicative of his character overall. Ex portugal U21 and Chelsea signing, so there is something there to be brought out..

Gathuessi was capped by Cameroon, but just the once. Hope he doesnt get sent off all the time...

Neither of them score goals.

Morais is a good player, surprised Hibs are letting him go on loan. He is like a Juanjo with more pace... good signing IMO (probably a replacement for Bazza)

Gathuessi haven't seen enough of but there is a season ticket holder for Hibs at my work so I'll ask him what he thinks of the lad when he gets in

I'm actually glad these guys are loan signings, obviously freeing up cash to get a couple of permanent signings

These are good signings. Although I've always considered Morais to be a diving cheating ****.

That will be the replacement for Bazza sorted then. :rotflmao:

Good work, though. Did Parky have a hand in this? Big thanks due then.

No Casinos here, and a lot less hassle in the pubs. Edinburgh an be as bad as Glasgow for that sh1te. The culprit seemed to be very contrite in court, so hopefully it may be a one-off.

Ultimately though, loan deals are sticking plasters, over the cuts that were made earlier in the season. (Did you see what I did there?) If they are any good they will go back at the end of the season, maybe even improved to play against us - Mackie anyone? If no good, we will be offered to buy them, a route which has proved succesful in the past but not particularly in the case of McGuire.

All we can do is wait and see...

Asked my Hibs supporting pal for his thoughts on these guys:

Morais: "Tricky winger who can beat players but doesn't have the pace or strength to hold them off. Also lacking a final ball."

Gatheussi: " Oh my God! Why did you do that? Relatively adventurous full back who gives away penalties due to poor decision making."

General: "Both were signed by Collins when we went for potential rather than more money for established players. Interestingly, Morais was on the first team calendar and I don't think Gatheussi got his picture taken. Shows their relative worth. I like Morais and he could be good with more games but Mixu only seems to play one winger at a time and O'Brien gets paid more. Gatheussi had his chance and was rubbish."
