according to BBC's gossip.. were looking at Trinidad and Tobago's Winger, Ricky Shakes.

Move/Merge if need be

No rumour mate - I am reliably informed that this is down to Butchers old Brentford connection and Ricky is practically a cert. This could be the wide man that we have been looking for. If it goes ahead we have real pace this season.

Shakes was released by Swindon at the end of the 2006?07 season,[5] and joined Brentford in August 2007 after training with the club during the summer.[6] He scored a late goal on his debut in September 2007 to give Brentford victory at Bury,[7] and made 39 league appearances,[1] before being released at the end of the 2007?08 season.[8] He joined Conference National club Ebbsfleet United in July 2008.[9]

is he really what we're looking for?

WHY WOULDNT HE BE?ALSO those clubs mentioned probably play just as high if not higher level than us

Saw him play for T & T against Iceland a few years ago. The few times he had the ball he did look quite effective. Wouldn't mind seeing him here at all.

I saw him a few times as Bolton Reserves play their games in Leyland and I go through fer the bigger club fixtures - I would say that he has age on his side, has plenty of pace, plenty of potential - wouldnt say he was the most tactically aware of players but I think he could set the SFL alight.

 Its nice to be linked with english players

instead of players we all know from Ross county, Dunfermline ect.

Butcher obviously rates him, as he signed him for Brentford.

If he signed him at Brentford then i imagine this is along similar lines as Brian Kerr when he joined us. He trains with us before Terry dishes out a deal.

In courier today that he will not be moving to inverness, opting to stay in england following his trial for personal reasons.
