Just heard on BBC Radio Scotland that Adam Rooney has been awarded First Division player of the year.

I thoroughly expected it to go to Griffiths given the media hype and his start to the season that would have still remained in defenders' memories.

It's absolutely brilliant news, congratulations Adam - it's thoroughly deserved and you're a credit to ICT

Can not see why people are acting like its a big suprise. Top scorer 27 goals in all compititions, after struggling to get a starting place early on n the season. When we struggled last season in the SPL, Adam was our top scorer when he hardly got a start. Although he misses a few, he will always be there to get on the end of chances.

Though that Adam would score consistantly given a run of games, and so it has been proved. Really hope he extends his stay just to see what our Shamrock attack can achieve with the squad we are likely to have nexy season.

As our main striker next season, I would hope that avoiding injury he might be pushing 15 - 18 goals, and anything over that would be a bonus.

Added to that Foran and Hayes will likely match his total between them.

Heres to an outstanding season in the SPL, and can see us matching St Johnstone's achievements this season. Trust Tel and Mo to pluck a few more stars from the shaddows elsewhere to blend into the squad. TCS looks like a good place to be next season.

Well done Adam, delighted for you, you've worked so hard and getting both the club's fans and players POY shows how much everyone appreciates your talent and workrate, to top it off with the prestige of best in the league is no surprise to us - best player at best club after all!

Really hope you get the chance to prove it in SPL now, have no doubt at all that you'll be an instant addition to Terry's teamsheet without a second thought and that you've both a tremendous season and future ahead of you. With ICT, of course!!
