I take it Hartley's on the list?

Got to be surely, unless STV, BBC, and Sky are all wrong...Team Hartley!

My prediction of the three named shortlist: Paul Hartley, Craig Levein and Henrik Larsson

Then over the weekend it's meant to go to two which then...

Paul Hartley vs Craig Levein

If it was down to Paul Hartley and Craig Levein then what about this;

DOF: Craig Levein

Manager: Paul Hartley

Assistant: Paddy Connolly or Colin Cameron or Jimmy Nicholl (Hartley's choice)

GK Coach: Craig Gordon

Coach: John Robertson (If he was interested in coaching role)

What a set up that would be!! Unfortunately I would think that the salaries combined would be out with our budget

That's what I thought but I'm sure we could survive without Levein and it would still be a great management team.

Roughi's dream team would be amazing but I'm fairly sure the 2 horse race will come down to Levein vs Hartley.

Todays papers seem to rule out Brewster returning, phew!!

Likewise it seems that Appleton isn't a main contender despite being interested.

Main contenders still seem to be Hartley, Hughes, Levein, Shiels, Houston and if local rumours are to believed Chris Sutton

Glad to hear it, the mere mention of his name, no matter how obscure the link was, coming back here filled me with absolute fear

Rumours abound down here that Graham Alexander will be leaving Fleetwood for the Highlands almost exactly a year to the day that he took up the managers post at Fleetwood. Team would appear to be on edge with the rumours as they crashed at Accrington in midweek and have league leaders Oxford tomorrow.

After the Hartley excitement earlier in the week, if it was someone else to get the job (unless it was somebody really good of course), I'd be rather disappointed.  I think he'd fit this club perfectly, and we could well miss out on a man who could be a great success at a rival club.

Levein, Sutton and the like, fill me with dread to be honest.

Paul Hartley fits our bill the most. We tend to go and get young managers (except Butcher) who end up doing very well. Sure it will be annoying if we get Hartley then he moves on to another club but least we would make a profit in doing so!

Team Hartley!
